The ServiceNow Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting federal customers by leveraging Low Code Application Platform modules and Agile development processes. This position involves gathering requirements, writing user stories, conducting verification testing, and ensuring that development products meet business needs. The analyst will act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in requirements analysis, process improvement, and ServiceNow implementation, serving as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring alignment and delivery of effective ServiceNow-based solutions.
The ideal candidate for the ServiceNow Business Analyst position will be detail-oriented and team-oriented, with a solid background in requirements analysis, process improvement, and ServiceNow implementation, capable of supporting both federal and commercial customers by leveraging Low Code Application Platform modules and Agile development processes.
This position is 100% remote.
Technical, Analytical, And Platform Skills
Proficiency with ServiceNow, Ivanti, Jira, or similar BPM low-code/no-code platforms.
Support the development of dashboards, reports, CMDB, and automation tools using ServiceNow capabilities.
Proficiency in process mapping, requirements documentation, and Enterprise Architecture.
Ability to organize and prioritize work, adapt to changes, and set/achieve performance and development goals.
Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects is essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including presentation development) with customers, end-users, and team members.
Analyze existing workflows, system documentation, and identify opportunities for process improvements using ServiceNow modules.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous testing and troubleshooting.
Core Responsibilities
Assist customers' business needs using Low Code Application Platform modules and business process expertise.
Analyze requirements, write user stories, and conduct verification testing to ensure development products meet business requirements.
Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, collecting and clarifying requirements to ensure alignment and delivery of effective ServiceNow-based solutions.
Support activity and data modeling, development of upgraded business methods, identification of standard processes, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
Documenting user stories, leading scrum meetings, and other agile ceremonies.
Project and Process Management
Review users' requests for new or modified applications, resolving feasibility, cost, time required, compatibility with current systems, and application capabilities.
Work with Service Catalog/Request Process Owner and Manager to recommend approaches for converting current request management processes to enterprise processes and tools.
Produce and maintain high-quality documentation, including business process workflows, technical specifications, and user guides.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills
5+ years of experience facilitating requirements gathering and capturing client requirements.
5+ years as a Business or Data Analyst with a strong focus on ServiceNow platform, specifically ITSM, ITAM, and Integration.
Proven ability to ensure service request requirements align with clients’ service request design building principles.
Working knowledge and experience with Agile development practices and ceremonies.
Experience thriving in ambiguous software development environments.
Experience with data governance, risk management, and change control processes.
Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience testing service request forms and coordinating testing by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Certifications, Educational And Security Requirements
Desired PMP, ITIL, Scrum Master, SEC+.
Required ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
Desired or ability to acquire within 6 months ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
Desired or ability to acquire within 6 months ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - Any other CIS certification.
Required Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related disciplines.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust or Secret Government Security Clearance.
US Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
