Senior WordPress (PHP) Engineer at Search Atlas

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in PHP and WordPress architecture.
• Solid experience in WordPress plugin development.
• Proficiency in custom post types, hooks, filters, and WordPress APIs.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization and security best practices for WordPress.
• Familiarity with modern development workflows (Git, CI/CD).
• Ability to keep up with a fast-moving team and contribute effectively to new product and feature development.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a passion for building high-quality WordPress solutions.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.
  

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WordPress plugins, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and test new features and products.
• Implement custom post types, taxonomies, and other WordPress functionalities as needed.
• Optimize WordPress performance for speed, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues, including plugin conflicts and compatibility problems.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal tools and processes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and security vulnerabilities.
• Attend daily SCRUMs and actively participate in sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders regarding project updates and technical challenges.
