About The Role

GEICO is hiring an Innovation Portfolio Manager to join their Claims Innovation team. The Innovation Portfolio Manager is responsible for the oversight of the innovation portfolio and managing the innovation pipeline, bringing clarity to existing innovation projects, their outcomes, and ensuring alignment with company goals.  This role reports directly to the Head of Claims Innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective oversight and management of the claims innovation pipeline and portfolio to deliver maximum value
  • Support the facilitation of value assurance reviews, optimization of resource allocation, and prioritization of capital deployment
  • Monitor, track, and report on end-to-end performance measurements of innovation objectives and portfolio projects
  • Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for innovation portfolio projects
  • Mapping strategic priorities to innovation projects to ensure the portfolio delivers on strategic initiatives
  • Identify areas requiring attention on strategic initiatives that innovation teams could be working on
  • Provide recommendations on prioritizing or deprioritizing specific innovation projects
  • Prepare, summarize, and deliver reports and/or presentations on the claims innovation portfolio to leadership

About You

Skills & experiences:

  • Experience in portfolio and/or project management (3+ years preferred)
  • Demonstrated competence in portfolio and project management methodologies, processes, and principles
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research skills, including data analysis, data synthesis, and data driven recommendations
  • Skilled in change management principles with an understanding of strategy, transformation, and innovation methods
  • Capable of working independently and with a team, possessing a unique blend of technical, business, and strategic thinking skills
  • Exhibit the ability to quickly absorb and develop domain knowledge in specific technologies and industries 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels and foster collaboration across multiple stakeholders

Annual Salary

$100,450.00 - $157,850.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
