Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Account Development Manager (ADM) to join our high-growth team. This is a senior-level business development role designed for a proven sales professional who excels in building and penetrating large, high-value accounts. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in sales with a strong track record of securing enterprise-level opportunities and cultivating long-term business relationships.

As an ADM, you will focus on swarming large, target accounts (such as NCPs and Enterprise AI prospects) using a creative, customized, and highly strategic approach. Unlike traditional high-volume sales roles, your success will be measured by opportunity creation within your target accounts, rather than pure activity metrics like the number of meetings set. ADMs will target decision makers with value-based, outcome-driven messaging, which they will be responsible for crafting using thorough account research and intent. ADMs will assist the Account Executive team in pipeline velocity, ensuring swift down-funnel momentum. This role requires a deep understanding of account-based strategies, personalized outreach, and innovative engagement tactics—including gifting, strategic messaging, and multi-threaded prospecting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Strategic Account Engagement: Identify, research, and engage large target accounts using tailored, creative outreach strategies to build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Incorporate Intent: Utilized intent selling platforms to gain quality insight into accounts and buyers’ activities.
  • Develop High-Impact, Value-Based Outreach: Craft compelling and customized messaging focusing on business outcome, leveraging gifting and other unique engagement methods to stand out in a competitive market. An ADM must think outside the box!
  • Own Opportunity Creation: Focus on high-value opportunity generation within target accounts, driving sales pipeline growth through strategic account penetration.
  • Ensure Pipeline Velocity: Partner closely with selling team to encourage down-funnel momentum and swift selling motions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with sales leadership, marketing, and customer success to align on account-based go-to-market strategies.
  • Leverage Data & Insights: Use CRM and sales engagement platforms to track and optimize outreach, reporting on key success metrics tied to pipeline growth.
  • Multi-Thread & Build Relationships: Develop relationships with multiple stakeholders within each target account, ensuring broad engagement across executive, technical, and business decision-makers.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in sales or business development, with a proven track record of securing new accounts in a strategic, high-value capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in enterprise or strategic sales, particularly in AI, SaaS, or tech-driven industries.
  • Strong understanding of account-based sales and marketing strategies.
  • Experience crafting creative, personalized messaging and engagement tactics to break into hard-to-reach accounts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and highly collaborative.
  • Proficiency with sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, DemandBase, Qualified, etc.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a focus on strategic impact over volume-based metrics.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching entry-level business development representatives.
  • Experience and willingness to assist in end-to-end sales.
DDN:

DDN has a very strong orientation towards these 4 characteristics and any successful employee will demonstrate these capabilities:

Self-Starter - Takes independent action to identify and solve problems. Seeks out relevant information needed to make decisions. Gets involved with new initiatives.

Success/Achievement Orientation - Delivers quality results consistently. Targets, achieves (or exceeds) measurable results. Sets challenging goals, focuses on critical priorities, and is accountable.

Problem Solving - Recognizes problems and responds with a systematic assessment that identifies and addresses cause of issue. Practical, realistic, and resourceful.

Innovative - Builds and improves key business processes that enhance the effectiveness of DDN. Generates new ideas, challenges the status quo, and solves problems creatively.
