About Wheel the World
Wheel the World is a mission-driven travel-tech startup transforming accessible travel. Our CEO is at the forefront of advocacy and innovation in this space, and we are looking for a dynamic Executive Comms & PR Intern to amplify his voice, manage his digital presence, and ensure strong media engagement.


What You’ll Do
As the Executive Comms & PR Intern, you’ll work hand-in-hand with our CEO, owning and executing all aspects of his social media and PR efforts. Your main goal will be to position him and Wheel the World as industry leaders in accessible travel. 


Content Creation

  • Develop and manage the CEO’s LinkedIn content strategy (posts, articles, comments, and engagement).
  • Research and create thought leadership content around accessibility, travel tech, and innovation.
  • Co-create industry specific articles together with CEO.
  • Research niche specific topics to generate high impact content through different platforms (PR, social media, written articles, interviews, etc)
  • Monitor trends, engage with relevant industry discussions, and grow the CEO’s network strategically.

Public Relations & Media Handling

  • Manage all incoming media requests (press, podcasts, interviews, conferences).
  • Develop a PR calendar, tracking media opportunities and speaking engagements.
  • Support and draft press releases, op-eds, and media pitches to position our CEO as a key thought leader.
  • Research and identify relevant journalists, influencers, and media outlets to connect with.

What You’ll Need

  • Passion for content creation, PR, and executive branding.
  • Strong writing and communication skills (bonus: experience in journalism, social media, or marketing).
  • Ability to work independently while staying aligned with the CEO’s vision.
  • Interest in startups, accessibility, and travel-tech is a big plus!
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn tools, content scheduling, and analytics.
