Sales Development Representative

WHAT WE SEEK

This position serves as a key member on a collaborative team and helps drive sales and execute sales campaigns by researching, prospecting and qualifying leads. A primary contact for prospects and current customers, the Sales Development Representative is an instrumental team member working collaboratively to build the pipeline and bring in new opportunities. The Sales Development Representative reports to the Manager of Sales Development.

 

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

  • Work with our customers, potential customers, and assigned Account Executives in all facets of the sales process
  • Assist with territory lead generation, qualification, and opportunity creation
  • Provide excellent customer support to ensure successful product implementation and secure renewals
  • Deliver webinars regarding product introductions and demonstrations that explain product offerings, features, and benefits to increase new, add-on and renewal sales
  • Create and provide the team with data reports to more effectively increase sales in territory
  • Handle inbound requests from Account Executives, to resolution within Salesforce.com including research on products, pricing, availability and tracking
  • Assist with or create cost proposals within Salesforce.com
  • Process, monitor and track Samples, Pilots, and Gratis orders and communicate status updates/progress.
  • Assist with sales projects and campaign activities, as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

 

WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BACKPACK

  • Bachelors degree in Business, preferred

  • Two (2) to more years of sales experience, previous tele-sales or inside sales preferred.

  • Experience with leveraging a CRM tool to guide day-to-day activities preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate professionally, persuasively, and confidently over phone and email

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across departments, functions, cultures and time zones

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Highly organized with strong planning and time management skills

  • Proficiency with computers and programs, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
