Job description

LightFeather is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Architect to join our team in Washington, DC. This role is focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions to support IT modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in ServiceNow architecture, integration, and customization, as well as a strong track record of leveraging ServiceNow to streamline workflows, improve service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency.

This is a Full Time, Remote Position.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize scalable ServiceNow solutions that align with business and IT requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Lead ServiceNow implementations, including solution design, technical planning, and phased deployments, while ensuring performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and specifications.
  • Develop custom applications and extend ServiceNow modules, leveraging ServiceNow App Engine, Flow Designer, and scripting capabilities.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and robust security.
  • Optimize ServiceNow workflows, manage data migrations, and enhance system performance through best practices and platform configuration.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and deployment planning to maintain high standards for reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Provide technical leadership by mentoring developers, guiding stakeholders, and enforcing ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for applications, system designs, configurations, integrations, and processes. 
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards, data governance policies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow performance and functionality.
  • Drive continuous improvement by staying current with ServiceNow updates and features, recommending system enhancements to align with IT modernization goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret/Top Secret clearance.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Architect or a similar role.
  • In-depth experience with ServiceNow integrations, custom development, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in implementing and optimizing ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Security Operations, Service Catalog, and Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data models, workflows, scripting (JavaScript), REST APIs, and proficiency in web technologies including HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting capabilities.
  • Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, performance optimization, and implementing best practices for scalability.
  • Strong knowledge of data security practices and integration security protocols.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proven ability to develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred:

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, Jenkins, GitHub) is a plus.
