Location: Halifax, NS or Remote (within Canada)

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud Consultant you will:


  • Design solutions to address our clients’ business needs using Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud 

  • Development and configuration of custom cartridges using the Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud platform, both for new deployments and to provide enhancements for existing implementations.

  • Adhering to best practices, write JavaScript, ISML templates, HTML, and CSS on the B2C Commerce Cloud platform leveraging SFRA architecture or SiteGenesis

  • Design cross-platform integrations to enable best-practice architectural patterns for integrating Commerce Cloud into other business platforms

  • Work with CloudKettle Project Managers and technical team members to deliver solutions that are maintainable and sustainable, on time and on budget

  • Provide in-depth technical audits of clients’ existing Commerce Cloud instances, including proposed solutions for identified issues.

  • Provide mentoring and guidance to the Commerce Cloud team for best-practices in scripting, journeys, API integration and best-practice eCommerce processes.

  • Provide QA, code reviews and recommendations on solutions implemented for clients by other team members.

  • Debug and assist in remediation of bugs and defects.

  • Contribute to documentation and training for clients’ Commerce Cloud instances to help ensure they are well-maintained.

  • Other duties as required.

 

What You Bring

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in web development, with a minimum of 2 years developing directly in Salesforce Commerce Cloud environments

  • Demonstrable end-to-end experience with complicated eCommerce implementations, (e.g. some combination of multiple brands, languages, currencies and/or countries)

  • Have participated in at least 2 end-to-end SFCC implementations

  • Proficiency in building templates and content slots utilizing ISML, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, and integrating them with Commerce Cloud Pipelines, Controllers, Cartridges

  • Expertise in creating cross-browser, cross-device compatible pages

  • Competence in working with OCAPI, Commerce API, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.

  • Proficient in leveraging B2C Commerce UX Studio, SiteGenesis, and SFCC SFRA.

  • Can work independently on well-defined tasks with limited guidance.

  • Understands best practices for frontend/backend development and can apply them effectively in a real-world context.

  • Experience working using APIs and tools like Mulesoft to integrate solutions with Commerce Cloud

  • A strong understanding of other Salesforce products and how they integrate with Salesforce Data Cloud (Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, etc.)

  • Experience in requirements gathering, design, development, testing and documentation of Salesforce solutions.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), DevOps, and CI/CD practices.

  • B2C Commerce Developer certification, or a willingness to get one within the first 60 days of joining CloudKettle.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

  • A passion to become an expert in ecommerce and the broader Salesforce ecosystem


Preferred

  • Proficiency in French is a bonus as we expand our French-speaking client base.

  • A B2C Commerce Architect certification is an asset

  • Experience working with Lightning is an asset.

  • Experience integrating B2C with other Salesforce clouds is an asset.

  • Experience deploying applications to the Salesforce AppExchange is an asset.
