The Employee Benefits Sales team is growing!  As the Sales Manager – Employee Benefits, you will manage our Philadelphia field sales office, leading a team of 4 employee benefits Sales Representative directly via hands-on, full-cycle management for the sale, growth, and retention of profitable business. This position will analyze, assign territories and sales goals, and develop individualized and strategic plans to optimize growth, and partner with the field Service Manager to ensure the customer experience is positive and seamless during and after the block business acquisition and retention. 

  • Develop excellent working relationships with field Brokers/Producers.

  • This position will work within a territory that consists of metro Philadelphia and southern Jersey.

* Ability to work 1+ days per week in the Philadelphia office is a requirement of this role. *

* Ability to travel 1+ days per week within the territory is a requirement of this role. *

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Sales experience in the Employee Benefits industry.

  • People management background that includes oversight of employee benefits sales professionals.

  • A strong broker network in the Philadelphia market.

  • Ability to work 1+ days per week in the Philadelphia office.

  • Ability to travel 1+ days per week within the territory.

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred and/or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • LICENSING:  Must be licensed in the state of PA (life & health).

  • EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience managing a team of employee benefits sales representatives AND/OR 7+ years of successful employee benefits sales experience with the desire to move into a people management capacity.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

  • Performance guarantees may be applied to roles with highly incentivized compensation plans for a specified period of time, to support a new hire’s transition into the sales incentive plan.

Salary Range:

Compensation is made up of a base salary, incentive compensation, and year-end bonuses. Total compensation range: $300k - $400k
