Job Description

As an Automation Install Technician, you will travel to customer locations with a team of installers to install, troubleshoot, and repair machinery while working under the guidance of a team lead. You will also train customers on proper operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Install machinery by following installation instructions under the guidance of the installation team lead

  • Provide customer with operation and maintenance training at the end of each installation

  • Partner with installation lead to troubleshoot and repair MiTek Machinery as required

  • Stay current with the schedule and make travel arrangements

  • Submit service call reports and sign off sheets within 5 business days of trip.

  • Be able to use necessary tools to service and install MiTek Machines

  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs


Qualifications

  • High School/GED General Studies required or equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis

  • 2+ Years Mechanical experience required

  • 1 Year Electrical troubleshooting preferred

  • 1 Year Computer experience (Microsoft office, Windows) preferred

  • Ability to read and understand prints and schematics

  • Ability to use small hand-power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch increments

  • Able to use Microsoft Office Applications

  • Critical thinking, troubleshooting, customer service skills


Additional Requirements

  • Valid drivers' license and proof of auto insurance required.

  • 80% Travel will be Monday morning through Friday Evening. USA only.


Physical Demands

  • This role will be accessing areas within a building that are undergoing renovations and may be exposed to temperature changes. Must have the ability to move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place, hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm, use core muscles and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired, bend, stretch, twist and reach out. This role requires visual acuity to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away and determine the distance between objects. Fine motor skills are required to be able to use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects and use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects. This role requires the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
