Job description

We are thrilled to be looking for a dynamic and reliable Account Director to manage/lead on rights management and activation for the world’s premier clay court tennis championship, Roland Garros, for one of our key clients. This could be the perfect role for you if you have exceptional project management skills, are a real team player and experience working as part of high performing client services team.

A love of sports and particularly tennis is not a prerequisite – a passionate event and account management expert is our priority – but this could also be great opportunity for you to apply your personal interests and passions to your work.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Leading on project management of all Roland Garros related activity, working alongside other agency partners where applicable
  • Leading on the day-today rightsholder relationship with Roland Garros
  • Oversight of all asset utilization in market and support on development of related toolkits
  • Leading on the local relationship between Global and Local clients and Roland Garros
  • Onsite attendance during event dates and attendance of any relevant site visits and/or rightsholder meetings
  • Close collaboration with other Octagon teams, including our Experiences division in relation to Roland Garros guest programmes

THIS COULD BE YOUR NEXT RIGHT MOVE IF:

  • You communicate clearly. You can write well, you speak in an engaging way and can explain your thoughts and ideas succinctly
  • You’re a natural at building rapport with just about anyone at any level in an organisation
  • You pay attention to the detail
  • You can think strategically, globally, and long term
  • You are adaptable to working remotely, with people in different countries and continents. Note for this role, you will need to be comfortable to take initiative as other team members and the client are based in UK and the US
  • You enjoy solving problems and finding creative, incremental solutions to challenges
  • You can collaborate across disciplines, departments, and time zones
  • You are patient, level-headed and cool under pressure

YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO HAVE:

  • Bi-lingual proficiency (French and English)
  • Comfortable working with an alcohol brand
  • Experience or knowledge of working with sponsorship properties (hospitality events or traditional event activations)
  • Previous work within tennis and/or global brands would be advantageous but not a prerequisite
  • Solid agency experience working in a similar role
  • Major event experience would be a bonus
  • Willingness to help onsite at other events across Europe, including Wimbledon in UK, in early July 2025
  • High level PowerPoint Skills, Excel and Outlook and a confidence to present internally and externally.
  • An ability to connect with people from various backgrounds, cultures and an ability to handle high end B2B clients and B2C guests equally.

SOME BENEFITS OF WORKING AT OCTAGON:

  • Flexible workplace policies
  • 8 to 10 days RTT per year
  • Restaurant card for 8€/day
  • 50% coverage of the transport ticket (Pass Navigo and/or Vélib subscription)
