Job description

School Success Partner (CA, NYC, TX, or SE-based)

Remote with geographic requirements, Full-Time

Coursemojo is an innovative ed-tech company which has developed a best-in-class, curriculum-aligned, AI-powered assistant teacher. “Mojo” is designed to bridge the gap that exists between the high-quality instructional materials that districts have adopted and the diversity of student needs that exist in classrooms, especially with the learning gaps from the pandemic. With the goal of supporting both teachers and diverse learners, “Mojo” helps educators differentiate instruction by providing each student (MLL, students with IEPs, advanced students, struggling readers) with targeted, Socratic, one-on-one and small group support (in 50+ languages) in the context of either core class instruction or intervention support.

Coursemojo is looking for a School Success Partner to lead the successful implementation and expansion of Mojo with our district and charter partners.

Why is this role important?

The School Success Partner is responsible for the onboarding, training, and ongoing provision of essential support to help partner districts get the most out of their Mojo implementations. They will be hands-on partners, designers, and problem-solvers on issues relating to instructional coaching, curriculum implementation, operations, and technology with their district portfolio, leveraging other members of the Coursemojo team as needed. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who is passionate about improving instructional quality for ALL students, and who has significant experience leading or supporting schools in instructional implementation initiatives across multiple school contexts.

The School Success Partner will report to the Director of School Success and be the first addition to a growing team!

What will you do?
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our district and charter partners, ensuring partners’ needs and concerns are effectively addressed; regularly engage and problem solve with teachers, school-, and system-leaders to ensure high levels of implementation quality and teacher satisfaction.
  • Guide each partner through the pre-implementation and launch process, ensuring basic implementation conditions are satisfied, and providing high-quality leader, coach, and teacher training. We will be selling-in additional PD and implementation support, so you will be a regular PD-provider.
  • Work closely and proactively with partners to provide ongoing support, implementation data, and earned influence to steer implementations to success.
  • Lead regular data stepbacks with district and school leaders, responding quickly and effectively to feedback or concerns.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team, leading renewal and expansion conversations with existing partners.
What are we looking for?
Requirements
  • 5+ years of instructional leadership experience including some at the district-level; must have track record of success leading instructional change efforts in various school contexts and at scale
  • Experienced and skillful instructional coach and PD provider
  • Self-motivated, with a bias for action; takes ownership over the success of district partners
  • Commitment to leading for equity and a self- and social awareness about issues of race, power, and privilege
  • Skilled and effective communicator and relationship builder
  • Strong programmatic and operational skills; highly organized and capable project manager (there is a lot to keep organized)
  • Proximity to a major airport in one of the following geographic areas: California, New York City Metro, Texas, or the Southeast
Preferred (Not Required)
  • EdTech experience in similar role
Where is this position located?

This is a full-time, fully remote position for candidates based in the US with up to 50% regular national travel expected. Candidate should be equally comfortable traveling to and supporting urban and rural districts across the US.

What is the compensation for this position?

At Coursemojo, we are committed to equitable, transparent, and rewarding compensation for our teammates. We base our salaries for every position on three factors: 1) benchmark data for similar roles, 2) a candidate’s level of experience, and 3) a candidate’s geographic location.

The salary range for candidates is $94,500-111,100 annually for P3 hires (5-8 years of relevant instructional leadership experience), $117,500-$138,200 annually for P4 hires (8+ years of relevant instructional experience) and will be determined based on the candidate’s local cost of labor (with Tier 1 labor markets like NYC & SFO at the high-end of those ranges). You will also receive new hire equity in Coursemojo and competitive benefits.

Our Commitment

Studies have shown that people of color and women are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they check all the boxes listed in a job description. We encourage you to apply, even if you don't believe you meet every one of our qualifications described.

We are committed to recruiting, hiring, and retaining a diverse team. We have designed a hiring process that surfaces candidates’ strengths, celebrates differences, and mitigates bias where possible so that we can hire the best and most diverse team possible.
