Walker Sands is looking for experienced graphic designers to join our contractor roster. While we don’t have an immediate project in mind, we’re building a network of skilled professionals we can call on for future creative needs. Contractors from this roster may be contacted for work on a per-project basis, with the potential for ongoing or extended collaborations depending on performance and agency demand.

As a contract graphic designer, you’ll create visually compelling assets across a variety of client deliverables, including branding materials, marketing campaigns, social media graphics, slide decks, and event collateral. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—designers, copywriters, strategists, and account leads—to bring creative concepts to life while maintaining brand consistency and high-quality design standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging visual designs for digital and print materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project objectives.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, and creative directors to brainstorm and execute innovative design solutions.
  • Create assets for social media, websites, email marketing, presentations, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail, quality, and deadlines.
  • Prepare and deliver production-ready files for various platforms and formats.
  • Incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients, refining designs as needed.
  • Organize and maintain project assets for future use and easy access.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in graphic design.
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) 
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color, and composition.
  • Experience designing for digital and print platforms, including social media, web, and event materials.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging visuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
  • A portfolio showcasing high-quality graphic design work.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with motion design or basic animation.
  • Knowledge of branding and identity design.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles.
  • Experience working with B2B companies or marketing agencies.
  • Understanding of print production processes.

Contract Details:

  • Contract Dates: Rolling (as-needed basis; project timelines to be determined).
  • Location: Remote
  • Rate: To be negotiated based on experience and scope of work.
