Job description

We are seeking an E-commerce Web developer to manage and optimize our Shopify website and internal business software systems. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless digital operations, improving our online presence, and supporting internal teams with software development and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website Management & Optimization (Shopify)

  • Upload and update website content as directed by the marketing team and business units.
  • Conduct periodic website health checks using tools like Ahrefs and Google Analytics to monitor SEO, speed, and UX performance.
  • Analyze website data and provide insights and recommendations for improving performance and conversion rates.
  • Implement website structure customizations and UI/UX enhancements to optimize user experience and sales funneling.
  • Execute recommendations from external SEO and UI/UX advisors.
  • Debug and optimize Shopify themes for better functionality and performance.
  • Integrate third-party apps and plugins to enhance website capabilities.

2. Internal Business Software Development & Maintenance

  • Support the development and customization of internal business applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Dynamics 365).
  • Assist in creating and optimizing software components to streamline internal operations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and system reliability, maintaining integrations between internal software, accounting systems, and Shopify.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of internal business tools.
  • Work closely with different teams to understand business needs and implement effective technical solutions.

Critical Skills (Most Important)

  • Strong problem-solving ability and logical thinking to troubleshoot technical issues and find efficient solutions.
  • Understanding of data and database relationships to ensure structured and reliable integrations.
  • Baseline software engineering skills, including debugging and optimizing code.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and other tools to provide actionable recommendations.

Highly Preferred Skills

  • Web development skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid for Shopify customization.
  • UI/UX understanding for implementing website changes that enhance user experience and conversion rates.
  • Website performance optimization (SEO, page speed, structured data improvements).

Trainable Skills (Least Critical, Can Be Learned on the Job)

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365.
  • General marketing knowledge or experience with business-related disciplines to understand sales funneling and customer experience.
