The Corporate Development and Strategy Team is a small group focused on monetization of key assets and building partnerships for long-term business development outside of our core HDD business.
About the role - you will:
This is a New Product Management / Program Management role. Seagate is looking someone to come in and manage 'non HDD core' business opportunities. The role will collaborate with engineering and government relations team members to help drive new business strategy across new product lines. .
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities outside Hard Disk Drive Storage in the UK & Global markets.
- Systematically establish and nurture an ecosystem of diverse technical partners.
- Develop strategic business development plans for implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure our technology portfolio leads to executable opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to partners, and executives.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets and KPIs.
About you:
- Are you experienced in implementing creative partnership structures, establishing joint engineering/POCs from start to finish – like JDA, NRE/SOWs, MoUs/LOI and other engagement outlines.
- Familiar with basic financial modeling knowledge and skills such as: ROI, ROIC and NPV assessments.
- Possess strong cross functional project/ program management skills (to move a project from initial discussions to POCs to commercial) with stage gates, timelines etc.
- Knowledge of semiconductor, foundry services and contract manufacturers is a plus.
- Able to thrive in a team environment while capable of self-directing.
Your experience includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development or sales.
- An entrepreneurial mindset is required to be successful.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
You might also have:
- Excellent organization skills
- Project Management experience
- Familiar with Smartsheets and dashboards is a plus
