In this role, you’ll provide marketing strategy and tools to the company’s sales force in order to increase market share and profitability in the operating room and start up environment. You’ll be responsible for product-life-cycle management and realization of financial targets.You’ll develop and implement marketing and selling strategies for new and existing brands / products, as well as provide brand input for development and implementation of advertising, promotion, and public relations campaigns by outside agencies. The Marketing Manager assists in training the sales force on new and existing brand / product lines, participates / leads product development projects, and develops relationships with potential product suppliers / manufacturers and key opinion leaders (KOLs). You’ll prepare marketing plans, business reviews, budgets and forecasts.

 

You’ll make significant contributions in the following areas:

• Start up mentality to prepare and implement marketing plans to promote products; create presentations and promotions of products for the sales force and customers in the healthcare and operating room. Manage and analyze customer base for opportunities; understand product prices by analyzing and incorporating established profit margins and costs for materials, packaging, labor, and shipping; prepare and analyze forecasts by evaluating brand/product demand; own the creation of long-term business plans and product development

• Analytical thinker who develops and maintains budget for the assigned product line; develop projected monthly sales for each product by incorporating selling history, expected seasonal changes, competitor market share, sales opportunity and product availability; develop clinical and technical support to defend marketing claims ; create training materials and train sales force; develop budget projections for marketing-related costs by gauging sales & manufacturing forecasts; incorporate planned marketing initiatives and lead cross-functional team; provide direction for strategic activities to protect and grow revenue in operating room

• Proactive and Strategic leader to develop and implement strategic plans for new and existing products,which requires analyzing volume and gross profit projections, targets, and trends for the market; develop proposals to enable operational sales planning; coordinate with sales leaders on brand strategies and tactics; coordinate performance of competitive analysis in order to position product(s). Ensure all projects and message align with overall brand strategy and delivers appropriate results; ensure work performed aligned with overarching business plans, marketing strategies, and budgets. Establish and maintain a network of KOLs to support product portfolio

• Team player who gives marketing insight into new product strategy and messaging. Be an active member of all cross-functional partnerships for development and strategies at the local and global level. Align with the marketing global strategic alignment, global brand positioning, global pricing strategy, and global strategic development. Understand the specific information on competitors (pricing, mailings, product features).

• Product expert and business owner who can compare actual sales totals with forecasts and recommend changes to marketing strategies to correct variances; review marketing trends and developments. Understand, implement and execute business plan to increase revenue in the operating room and expand start up footprint in the incision care market

What you’ll need

• Bachelor degree in Economics, Business, or Marketing from accredited college / university; MBA preferred

• 3-5 years healthcare experience including in[1]depth knowledge of marketing strategies, brand management, forecasting techniques, and profit and loss (P&L) analysis

• Candidates should have experience in the sales / marketing arena of the healthcare industry, preferably in the operating room medical devices
