What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with dev teams to stand up and maintain applications and services in AWS
• Propose best-practice infrastructure for maximum scalability, reliability, and security
• Experiment with open-source apps to solve business and technical needs
• Automate and improve development and release processes
• Identify scalability and performance issues at the infrastructure/application/DB level
• Perform root cause analysis of production errors and help resolve technical issues
• Work closely with the corporate MSP to determine what work you want to hand off
• Ensure that cloud environments are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

• 5+ years of experience in a role
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, its offerings, best practices, security configuration, logging, and automation via infrastructure-as-code
• Strong knowledge of a variety of open-source applications, with the ability to configure, install, and maintain them in containers
• Significant experience with Linux and its variants
• Experience deploying and administering dev tools (SCM, IaC, SCA, DAST, CI/CD)
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools, such as NewRelic, Splunk, Datadog
• Working knowledge of scripting languages, databases, and SQL
• Basic understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
