Key responsibilities:
• Month-end and year-end close tasks.
• Monthly/quarterly accounting and reconciliations of your responsible entities.
• Review of multi-currency payroll and preparation of monthly journals.
• Follow accounting treatments to ensure compliance with the latest statutory requirements and accounting guidance.
• Assist with the annual group audit and local audits.
• Processing bank payments.
• Ad hoc tasks as assigned including participation in Finance projects.
• Maintain and enhance reconciliation processes, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare the regional annual statutory accounts accurately under the relevant GAAP.
• Ensure any differences in local GAAP and Group GAAP are tracked in control manner.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve financial systems.
• Support and lead automation initiatives, including system enhancements to reduce manual tasks and increase data accuracy.
• Act as a subject matter expert, offering training and support on complex accounting issues.
• Support the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
• Provide insights and support to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local regulations.
About you
Fully or part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with five-year experience in Accountant role. You had exposure to a multi-currency environment in a global business. The ideal will also demonstrate:
• Proven ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and effectively handling complex situations with minimal guidance.
• A track record of success in managing workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
• Strong accounting knowledge with substantial experience in statutory financial reporting and audit.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a clear ability to prioritise and balance a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Excel, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of its tools and functions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
