Primary Duties

• Promote the Ponsse brand and products in the forestry industry
• Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills to carry out professional demonstrations of Cut to Length forestry harvesters and forwarders for customers of Ponsse Machines to the best of their ability in the working conditions
• Possess a sound knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems and have a good understanding of both machinery and office IT systems and software with basic problem-solving skills
• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Offers customers knowledge and explains the product / services making suggestions for productive operation
• Be a clear communicator, assisting in person and over the phone when called upon and provides friendly, helpful service to customers with product related questions
• Install new and used machines throughout the UK, following a training plan for each machine and operator
• Full UK driving Licence as national travel is required to achieve effective customer contact and be flexible as the role requires
• To set up and attend shows, events, and roadshows to demonstrate / install Ponsse products
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
• Ensure a tidy corporate appearance as you are the public face of the Ponsse brand. Wear the corporate clothing as issued and the appropriate PPE when required
• Pass machine and parts sales leads to the relevant department
• Machine inspections before use and for sales / aftersales as required
• Follow company procedures site rules and policies. Carry out work in a safe manner. Report any safety incidents or near misses
• Follow the Ponsse values
• Understanding of Ponsse products and the forestry sector is an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided both in the UK and Finland
