The Field Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting an assigned group of Ezcorp Pawn shop locations from both hardware and software including providing remote support to designated stores.  This requires on-site store visits on a regular basis for upgrades and functionality checks. Candidates must live in the Houston area.

What you will be doing:

  • Store Systems Support

  • Supports the rollout of new technology projects into the stores

  • Provide timely and efficient Information Technology service resolution for supported equipment and take ownership and responsibility of tasks

  • Ensure strict adherence to escalation procedures and strong engagement with other key stakeholders

  • Deployment of new and replacement Information Technology equipment     Configuration of Information Technology equipment

  • Re-imaging of Information Technology equipment if required

  • Ensure that store performance and reliability of IT platforms are maintained within agreed service levels

  • Decommission Information Technology equipment and manage at a local level Engagement with Service Desk and Production Support – including Incidents via Footprints

  • 2nd level support for all Information Technology Desktop operating systems and associated software deployments

What we are looking for:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Software or IT Engineering

  • Master’s degree is a plus

  • Capable in all aspects of Information Technology Field Service support

  • Strong knowledge of Information Technology, Infrastructure, Operating Systems and software

  • Ability to operate in a team-driven environment to achieve assigned goals and objectives

  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering quality services

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

  • Self-motivated and adaptable to change

  • Reliable, diligent, pro-active and enthusiastic

  • Demonstration of organization behavior and values.

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy and time management and organizational skills

  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
