IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a full-time editor to join our content team for Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com, and Vocabulary.com. In this role, you will help develop educational materials and curate content for users around the world. #LI-FA1

This is a full-time remote position for candidates living in the United States. #LI-REMOTE

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Edit articles and blog posts for spelling, punctuation, grammar, style, and clarity
Edit content that is used to create Word of the Day entries and videos, Synonym of the Day entries, our daily newsletter, and more
Ensure content adheres to IXL's writing guidelines and the Chicago Manual of Style
Curate content that appears on Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com, and Vocabulary.com
Collaborate with our team of writers, editors, illustrators, and video creators to create content that is fun, accurate, and engaging

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

BA/BS degree
3+ years of professional editing experience
Impeccable knowledge of English grammar, superior writing and editing skills, and the ability to adjust to in-house style guidelines
Familiarity working with the Chicago Manual of Style
Experience creating and editing educational materials is a plus
Outstanding written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a wide range of age groups
Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously
Can-do attitude with an openness to others' ideas and a strong attention to detail
