Job description

Veeam®, the #1 global market leader in data protection and ransomware recovery, is on a mission to empower every organization to not just bounce back from a data outage or loss but bounce forward.

With Veeam, organizations achieve radical resilience through data security, data recovery, and data freedom for their hybrid cloud.

The Veeam Data Platform delivers a single solution for cloud, virtual, physical, SaaS, and Kubernetes environments that gives IT and security leaders peace of mind that their apps
and data are protected and always available.

Headquartered in Seattle with offices in more than 30 countries, Veeam protects over 450,000 customers worldwide, including 74% of the Global 2000, who trust Veeam to keep their businesses running.

Veeam's launch of the Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) in early 2024 marked a pivotal moment: combining our industry-leading platform's reliability with the simplicity of a cloud service. With over 21 million users protected, VDC has quickly become the fastest-growing solution in Veeam's history. As we prepare to bring our industry-leading Salesforce Backup to VDC in 2025, we're seeking an exceptional technical leader to drive adoption across EMEA.

As a Specialist Solutions Engineer focused on Salesforce backup solutions, you'll lead technical engagements that shape the future of cloud data protection. Reporting to the Veeam's WW Salesforce Backup Sales leader, you'll work closely with our EMEA field sales teams and strategic partners to help customers understand and embrace the technical advantages of cloud-native data backup protection. In addition, you will work in close partnership with internal teams to gather feedback from customers and partners to drive the ongoing development of our product.

This quota-carrying, technical pre-sales role will partner with Veeam’s sales teams to secure technical wins by architecting optimal cloud solutions and demonstrating the value of the VDC Salesforce solution.

Key responsibilities include:

Technical Leadership

  • Drive technical excellence across EMEA territory to support revenue goals
  • Architect and demonstrate cloud-native backup solutions for Salesforce environments
  • Lead proof-of-concept implementations to validate solution effectiveness
  • Present deep technical expertise on VDC Salesforce backup, including latest features and competitive positioning

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Partner with sales teams to identify customer needs and craft tailored solutions
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations
  • Provide consultative guidance on Salesforce data protection best practices
  • Build and maintain relationships with key technical stakeholders

Sales Enablement & Market Intelligence

  • Develop technical resources and training materials for sales and partner teams
  • Deliver enablement sessions on Salesforce backup best practices
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence to inform product strategy
  • Contribute to go-to-market planning for new features and capabilities

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of enterprise technical pre-sales experience
  • Proven success in the Salesforce ecosystem (Salesforce FTE, vendor, consultancy, or ISV partner)
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, security, and data models
  • Strong technical presentation and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • History of successful cross-functional collaboration in global organizations
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time
