The Project Analyst will perform the project management and business analysis needed to ensure the smooth roll out of changes and enhancements to Sage’s peer review platforms and processes. This includes writing project plans, preparing requirements, coordinating resources, managing costs and
vendor relationships and ultimately ensuring that the releases are delivered on time and within budget. This position will lead, manage and report on projects within the peer review team, ensuring clear communication of business needs to stakeholders (technical and non-technical), and supporting successful user adoption.
Responsibilities:
• Manage projects, business requirements, processes, and related system impacts.
• Elicit, investigate, and analyze business needs across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Plan and implement schedules, coordinate technical teams, and adhere to timelines and budget.
• Ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements with technical and business stakeholders on a routine basis.
• Work with delivery teams to generate solution ideas, review against requirements and present options to the business.
• Facilitate workshops to influence and establish consensus amongst stakeholders and obtain buy-in.
• Manage business and development relationships with internal stakeholder groups and external vendors.
• Report on, prioritize and support resolution of issues.
• Adopt and champion continuous improvement techniques for all aspects of the project.
• Prepare project, requirements, and internal support documentation as needed.
• Prepare, interpret, and act on metrics that demonstrate continuous improvement
• Coach and train colleagues in adopting an Agile mindset, and in understanding and adhering to Agile frameworks.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• Demonstrated knowledge in applying project management, techniques, delivering on time and to budget preferably in the publishing industry and with an understanding of peer review and the systems used to conduct it.
• Working effectively in globally distributed teams.
• Working in a hybrid working environment (part remote, part in-office).
• Ability to rapidly acquire and apply new business domain and technical knowledge.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to be open and transparent and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Team leadership and coaching skills.
• Good level of competence with Microsoft Suite and Atlassian products desired.
• Project Management, Business Analysis, and/or Scrum Master certification
