Purpose of Job: 

To assist and support the administration of GOAL’s CLDE programming, including, but not limited to, student enrollment processes, WIDA assessment training, program designation, and data management within our platforms. 

Essential Duties/Major Accountabilities:

  • Essential Duties  

  • The CLDE Specialist will assist and support the CLDE department to identify and support multi-lingual learners with GOAL approved programming. 

  • Develop and maintain professional knowledge and understanding of the primary platforms used to identify and support multi-lingual learners, including but not limited to COGNOS, DRC, WIDA, D49, and CDE. 

  • Develop and maintain professional knowledge and understanding of state and federal rules and regulations regarding CLDE and multi-lingual learners. 

  • Assist with and support data management through GOAL platforms, including, but not limited to, Ellevation, Education Modified, and PowerSchool. 

  • Assist with and support the compliant implementation of CLDE programming per D49, CDE, and federal guidelines. 

  • Work closely with statewide enrollment teams during all enrollment seasons, including but not limited to verification of records received, and follow up efforts to collect missing documents. 

  • Assist with and support proctor training for WIDA Screener and ACCESS assessments. 

  • Assist with and support the collection of documentation to support placement and redesignation for multi-lingual learners. 

  • Assist with and support the collection of accountability documents (PNs, ELPs, etc.) for multi-lingual learners. 

  • Assist with and support the documentation of ELP accommodations for state assessments (CMAS, SAT, etc). 

  • Assist with and support the development and implementation of CLDE Family Engagement embedded withing regional Family Engagement events aligned with GOAL’s Family Engagement programming. 

  • Assist with and support the development and maintenance of CLDE content within GOAL’s staff resource library. 

  • Assist with and support the onboarding of CLDE staff as it pertains to GOAL’s CLDE accountability programming.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.   

  • Must reside in Colorado.  

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field required. 

  • Master’s degree in education or relevant field preferred. 

  • Colorado Department of Education License, Teacher or Administrator, preferred. 

 

Experience:  

  • Five years of experience working in a school or district required. 

  • Two years of experience developing and running various trainings for adult learners required. 

  • Two years of experience working with data management (spreadsheets, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc) preferred 

  • Two years of experience working in a high school with at-risk youth preferred.
