Position Summary

In this role, the Email & Web Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of email marketing campaigns and promotional landing pages. This role combines technical expertise, creative design, and strategic marketing to create visually compelling and high-performing digital assets in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

As part of the Marketing Automation team, this individual will play a key role in our digital marketing strategy by enhancing customer engagement, driving conversions, and achieving measurable business results.

 

Responsibilities and Expertise

  • Strategize, design, and execute email marketing campaigns aligned with marketing goals and audience segments.
  • Build and optimize dynamic email templates for personalization and automation.
  • Create reporting and send queries within the email database, ensure proper segmentation, and apply best practices to increase deliverability and engagement.
  • Monitor email performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Design and develop responsive, conversion-optimized landing pages for various campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and marketers to ensure landing pages align with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
  • A/B test landing page elements (e.g., headlines, CTAs, imagery) to improve performance.
  • Leverage heatmaps, analytics, and user feedback to refine user experiences and increase conversions.
  • Develop visually appealing designs, in addition to using designed assets from our Art Dept and adjusting, if needed.
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code for email and landing pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ensure all designs are optimized for performance across devices, platforms, and email clients.
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) testing to address formatting, rendering, and functionality issues.
  • Use analytics platforms (e.g., Acoustic Insights, Google Analytics, our internal dashboards via Sisense, etc.) to track and measure the performance of campaigns.
  • Report on campaign KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and stay updated on industry trends to ensure the adoption of innovative practices.
  • Work closely with the marketing, design, web, and customer care teams to ensure alignment of campaign goals and messaging.
  • Act as the point of contact for email and web marketing projects, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage email marketing platforms (e.g., Acoustic) for campaign deployment, automation, and tracking.
  • Maintain the project management schedule (e.g. Asana), as it relates to specific projects.
  • Leverage AI (using company approved tools) for efficiency in content creation, data analysis, and testing.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve workflows and campaign results.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Proficiency in responsive design principles, ensuring compatibility across devices and email clients.
  • Strong eye for design and attention to detail, with the ability to balance creativity with technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and an understanding of user behavior to create effective designs.
  • Understanding of customer journey mapping and segmentation for targeted marketing.
  • Ability to interpret campaign data, draw actionable insights, and optimize strategies accordingly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and improving performance.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, managing deadlines, and ensuring alignment of goals.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to evolving priorities.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Must have an online portfolio with multiple examples of interactive design.
  • Prior experience typically achieved through 2-3 years of email marketing, web/graphic design, or digital marketing roles with a strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Theoretical knowledge typically achieved through a related four-year college experience, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Web Design Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud.
  • Experience with email and/or marketing platforms (e.g. Acoustic, Active Campaign, HubSpot, Marketo, Iterable, Klaviyo, Braze, ClickFunnels) and landing page builders (e.g. Unbounce, Instapage, LeadPages).
  • Experience with responsive design and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for email and web development.
