About The Role:
The Dealership Engagement Coordinator will play a critical role in engaging with and supporting the dealer network for the Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) and other Voucher Incentive Projects that work to accelerate advanced-technology transportation in the United States. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with dealers, providing training on program requirements, and ensuring dealer compliance with VIP processes.
The Dealership Engagement Coordinator will be a key point of contact for dealers and OEMs, helping them navigate the program and drive adoption of zero-emission trucks and buses, as well as analyzing the vehicle procurement market and dealer landscape to advise about program and policy improvements
What You’ll Do: Duties & Responsibilities include:
Dealer Relationship Management:
Building strong relationships and providing ongoing support, including meeting with dealers and OEMs in person and virtuallyCollect feedback from participating dealers on their experience with the HVIP program.Identify and collate best practices for dealer program design to inform other VIPsProgram Training and Compliance:
Coordinate with CALSTART’s Dealer Engagement team to improve dealer training sessions and resources.Monitor dealer compliance with HVIP policies and procedures, providing corrective guidance as needed.Develop new policies and procedures for dealer programs in new U.S. marketsSupport for Voucher Processing:
Assist dealers in submitting accurate and timely voucher requests, ensuring all required documentation is complete.Troubleshoot application issues and resolve dealer inquiries related to voucher submissions and payments, in partnership with Salesforce teamCollaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with the VIP Operations and Program teams to streamline dealer processes and improve the dealer experience.Collaborate with CALSTART’s outreach team to coordinate and attend dealer-focused events, webinars, and communications.Market Insights and Feedback:
Gather insights from dealers about market trends, customer challenges, and program barriers.Provide recommendations to improve HVIP program operations and increase dealer engagementWhat You'll Bring to the Table: Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, public policy, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).3+ years of experience in dealer relations, OEM service, account management, or customer support, preferably in the transportation or clean energy industries.Knowledge of zero-emission vehicle technologies, incentives, and California’s transportation landscape.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsProficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.Passion for advancing clean transportation and sustainabilityDesired Qualifications: Experience working with incentive programs or grant management.Familiarity with California Air Resources Board (CARB) programs and policies.Background in training or technical sales support.Understanding of ZEV infrastructure needsWe understand that not everyone will match the above qualifications 100%.
