JOB OVERVIEW

Leads the design, development, and maintenance of healthcare software solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with industry standards for the Alinea platform. Works closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative technology that improves patient care and operational efficiency. Oversees code reviews, mentors junior engineers, and drives best practices in software development. Analyzes complex technical challenges, optimizes system performance, and ensures seamless integration with healthcare data systems.

ABOUT ALINEA

Alinea is a workflow and patient engagement platform built in Elixir/Phoenix and deployed on GCP.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Design, develop, and maintain an Elixir/Phoenix application and its dependencies production environment.
Work with GCP services (App Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, etc.) to manage deployment, scaling, and performance.
Optimize database queries and schemas in PostgreSQL to ensure robust and efficient data handling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project planning, feature design, and continuous integration.
Drive performance tuning, code reviews, and automation initiatives.
Contribute high-level architecture decisions and technology roadmaps.
Embrace a remote-first mindset: communicate proactively, self-manage tasks, and stay organized.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
6+ years of relevant experience
Proven experience building and deploying Elixir/Phoenix applications.
Demonstrated success in performance optimization and automation.
Familiarity with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development.
Experience (or strong comfort) with fully remote, distributed teams.

Salary Range: $104,000 -$130,000
