JOB OVERVIEW

Our Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to gain more than they give. Designed to expose you to a professional setting in the genetics field, this program combines hands-on learning with meaningful project ownership.

Over the summer, you’ll work on impactful projects, collaborate with passionate professionals, and gain insights into the industry. We’re committed to providing you with an enriching experience that helps you develop practical skills, expand your network, and leave a lasting mark on your work.

At Ambry Genetics, we believe in fostering an environment where innovation, collaboration, and growth thrive. While we expect our interns to bring dedication and hard work to the table, we also recognize the importance of balance. That’s why we’ve built opportunities for fun and connection into the program—networking events, team outings, and chances to engage with your peers and leaders in more relaxed settings.

Projects/Leaders you may have the opportunity to work on this summer include:

  • Help build Business to Business Integrations between the Ambry and Vendor/Client EHR systems (David Calavan, Lead Software Engineer)
  • Supporting project execution by providing QA and User Acceptance Testing (Roge Demetrio, Sr. Integration Analyst)
  • Work with operations teams, engineering teams, and analytics teams to gain a basic understanding of how genetic variant data is structured, transformed and transmitted to various internal and external systems using industry LOINC and HL7 V2 and FHIR data formats (Marshall Waters, Manager Software Engineering)
