Job Overview

Join our dedicated team at Compass Health Network as a Medical Assistant/Nurse LPN, where your role is pivotal in delivering exceptional, compassionate care to our communities. Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate patient intake by gathering vital signs, medication histories, and medical records in the EMR.
  • Present patients with comprehensive End of Visit materials, including lab results and educational resources.
  • Conduct lab tests as directed by clinicians, which may include immunizations and minor surgical assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff, addressing inquiries and relaying clinician recommendations.
  • Support clinicians with patient cases, including lab results and medication management.
  • Maintain accurate records for Vaccines for Children (VFC) and administer injections as required.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and service quality while participating in team huddles to share patient information.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with medical office terminology and procedures.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and provide exemplary patient care.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • One (1) year of relevant experience is preferred, though we are willing to train new graduate Medical Assistants.
  • Practical Nursing Certificate is required if applying as a Nurse LPN.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or LPN or GPN, with the requirement to pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
  • CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
