Senior Cloud Engineer

Core4ce is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineers to onboard high-profile Defense Health Agency (DHA) customers to our AWS and Azure PaaS hosting environments. In this role, you will work closely with critical DHA Programs of Record (PORs) to ensure a seamless and efficient migration of their applications and workloads to our cloud-hosted environments. Our ideal candidate is an expert in either AWS or Azure cloud hosting platforms and is proficient in the other; meaning you must know both and be an expert in one. We seek individuals with a strong customer-centric approach that has experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Federal customers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end onboarding of high-profile customers to AWS and Azure PaaS environments, ensuring a smooth and timely transition.
• Serve as a technical advisor to clients, providing guidance on cloud architecture, security, compliance, and operational best practices.
• Implement cloud solutions that align with customer requirements, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with Product, Customer Success, and Support teams to coordinate onboarding, solve complex customer challenges, and enhance onboarding processes.
• Develop scripts and automation to streamline onboarding processes, including CI/CD, monitoring, and cloud-native service integration.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for onboarding procedures and deliver training to junior engineers and customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on customer onboarding or migration.
• Extensive experience with AWS and Azure PaaS, including core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Azure App Services, and Azure Functions.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management within cloud environments.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to hold a Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Recognized expert who has obtained a relevant commercial cloud certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native architecture.
• Previous experience working with DoD/Federal clients, ideally in a client-facing or consulting capacity.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to customer success.
