The Chief Data Officer (CDO) at City of Hope will oversee the organization’s data strategy, governance, and analytics to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. The CDO will play a key role in leveraging data as a strategic asset, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. The Chief Data Officer is responsible for the entire data lifecycle, from collection and storage to analysis and disposal.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Data management: Establishing standards, procedures, and controls to ensure data quality, accuracy, and protection.
Data analysis: Leading data analytics and building models for production.
Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
Establish and oversee data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, privacy, and security across all systems.
Collaborate with IT, clinical, and operational teams to enhance data integration, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to improve patient care and operational performance.
Foster a culture of data literacy across the organization, providing training and support to staff at all levels.
Monitor and report on data initiatives' performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting data management and analytics.
Build and lead a high-performing data team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
Act as a key advisor to the leadership team on data-related strategic initiatives.
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Ten years’ experience in a Healthcare or similarly complex information technology environment.
A demonstrated track record of focus on the end-user.
