This individual will be responsible for overseeing Scrum Masters. In addition, the expectation for this role is to foster a culture of continuous improvements, focusing on product deliver, customer satisfaction. This individual should have the ability to use agile metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and spot areas of opportunity.
Essential Functions
Educate teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Executives on Agile and Scrum practices.
Engage with team in establishing process for continuous improvements through application of ideas in retrospectives, prescribed process improvements, etc.,
Conduct Scrum ceremonies to assist in removing impediments that obstruct a team’s pursuit of sprint goals.
Drive Adoption through promotion of Agile practices, techniques, and frameworks, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Establish standards and requirements for the Agile process.
Establish consistent Agile practices across organization.
Handle issues that arise during project development.
Conduct Agile maturity assessments and help teams implement Agile metrics and reporting methods.
Lead, coach, motivate and develop. Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities and attracting new talent.
Clearly communicate expectations, provide employees with the training, resources, and information needed to succeed.
Actively engage, coach, counsel and provide timely, and constructive performance feedback.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
Experience And Skills
At least 5 years as an Agile Coach, demonstrated sustained performance with impact at team(s) or process level
At least 3 years at a manager level and successfully demonstrated leadership competencies managing scrum masters or agile coaches.
Proficiency in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Strong mentoring, facilitation, and change management skills.
Ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and Agile mindset.
