We’re looking for our next Front End Engineer. Could It Be You?

This position will assist in the maintenance and new feature development of our external Corporate website.

The Front End Engineer will collaborate with a cross functional team of designers, developers, digital marketers and product owners to develop highly performing and scalable solutions for our corporate web applications.

They will need strong skills in UI web development in order to handle a variety of projects through all stages of the software development life cycle.

The Front End Engineer will also be expected to contribute ideas and solutions in a creative, fast paced agile team environment, so good communication and collaboration skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in responsive web development and front-end technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and an eye for detail in order to handle the variety of tasks delivered by the team.

As a developer, their role will consist of:

• Developing new features for our corporate websites using the Sitefinity Content Management System (.NET-based) and/or Angular
• Creating responsive templates, web pages and UI elements using Sitefinity CMS
• Handling general website maintenance, copy updates and support tasks
• Creating and updating web pages using the Sitefinity CMS
• Executing design requirements based on mock-ups
• Creating new page layouts, UI elements and features to a high degree of accuracy and detail
• Implement custom CMS modules, calculators and reusable UI and MVC components based on business requirements
• Maintaining and enhancing existing UI style libraries and UI page elements
• Implementing Google web analytics tracking using Google Tag Manager or Adobe Tag Manager
• Identifying, troubleshooting and fixing bugs in our websites
• Assist in manual and automated testing in order to ensure the quality of all features developed
• Ensuring all work passes web accessibility standards
• Ensuring the quality of all projects launched by participating in code reviews and release activities
• Participating in deployments and the launching of new features in our production environments
• Contributing to maintaining best practices, standards and procedures by participating in knowledge-sharing and ‘lessons learned’ sessions with team members
• Participating in all scrum ceremonies
  
  
  

The developer will be expected to contribute in a creative and dynamic agile team environment, so good communication, collaboration and time management skills are essential.

We’re looking for a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the following areas:

• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, SASS
• Strong foundation in JavaScript, TypeScript
• Experience developing responsive websites
• Experience working with a content management systems (e.g. Sitefinity, WordPress)
• Experience testing, debugging and troubleshooting browser, device or performance issues
• Knowledge of Git or other version control systems
