What You Can Expect
This position is responsible for the management and oversight of the EMEA region Center of Expertise (CoE) intercompany accounting staff, financial analyst, and the Business Process Outsourcer (BPO) or Shared Service resources responsible for the relevant Intercompany, Inventory, & Profit in Inventory Elimination (PIE) processes.
How You'll Create Impact
Responsible for the accuracy of PIE reporting at the Regional level and compliance with internal controls and corporate policies
Provide oversight and support to the PIE Financial Analyst for the monthly PIE reporting, variance analysis and inventory roll-forward analysis
Responsible for supporting the analysis of the regional PIE reporting, answering PIE related questions from the FP&A team and the Regional Controller
Manage and support the investigation of foreign exchange impacts on PIE and related adjustments to COGS
Provide oversight and support to the overall intercompany accounting process, completing identification and escalation of intercompany and inventory account reconciling items
Manage the governance, escalation, and resolution of disputes between trading partners
Provide oversight to the regional BPO resources for the transactional activities related to intercompany and inventory accounting processes
Manage the escalation of issues identified by the BPO and coordination with CoE Staff Accountants and In-Country Finance to identify a solution and resolve the issue
Interact and coordinate with various finance and accounting groups such as Corporate Accounting,
Tax, Treasury, Audit and In-Country Finance Teams
What Makes You Stand Out
Expected Areas Of Competence (i.e., Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)
Experience and understanding of accounting related to intercompany inventory movements, operational transfer pricing, and foreign currency exchange
Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial statement analysis, including understanding of internal control requirements and relevant business environment
Highly analytical, excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, and administrative skills, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Continuous improvement mindset; experience with process improvements and optimization a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) is preferred
Your Background
Education/Experience Requirements
Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; a post-graduate degree in business or accounting is preferred
Possesses 10 or more years in Finance or Accounting
Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications
Experience in a management / supervisory role (1-2 years) is preferred
CPA certification preferred
