What You Can Expect
This role will execute the Intercompany & Inventory Accounting activities including Trading Partner agreements and disputes, investigating out of balance intercompany and inventory accounts, collaborating with In-Country Finances teams to resolve identified discrepancies, and executing Profit in Inventory Elimination (PIE) activities including reporting and variance analysis.
How You'll Create Impact
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Analyze Trading Partner Agreements & Disputes, and manage the coordination between Trading Partners, on both sides of the transaction, with respect to requests for additional inputs and detail to support the dispute case;
Manage and oversee Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) resources to ensure timely completion of transactional activities associated with Intercompany & Inventory process;
Review the Intercompany and Inventory reconciliations completed by the BPO;
Initiate and manage the investigation of reconciling items identified in the reconciliations;
Conduct aging analytics on open invoices and goods in transit balances, and complete investigations of balances outside of the materiality threshold;
Execute market PIE Roll-forward process on a monthly basis to identify and resolve reconciling differences.
Calculate budgeted/forecasted PIE transactional FX for the EMEA Region, and submit to the Corporate team for consolidation.
Calculate actual PIE transactional FX for the EMEA Region, compare results to budgeted/forecasted FX, and submit the calculation and analysis to the Corporate team for consolidation.
Manage and oversee HFM mapping for Intercompany and Profit-in-Inventory-Elimination (PIE) -relevant accounts;
Respond to requests and inquiries from regional markets, the Global CoE team, Regional Finance and Corporate Accounting;
Manage the escalation of issues to In-Country Finance teams, as needed.
What Makes You Stand Out
Expected Areas Of Competence (i.e., Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)
Experienced and proficient with Intercompany and Inventory accounting;
Strong understanding of US GAAP or IFRS in relation to inventory required;
Strong analytical skills and are a strong communicator;
Experience in project and resource management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Powerpoint.
Experience with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and/or HFM is preferred.
Knowledge of data analytics (e.g. Alteryx) is beneficial.
Your Background
Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor degree in accounting and preferably a Master degree in business or accounting;
Experience in a finance or accounting position for 4 or more years, and you have focused on Inventory Accounting and/or Intercompany/Accounts Payable Accounting for at least 2 years;
CPA certification or equivalent preferred.
