Job description

As the Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our software engineering team which includes both onshore and offshore developers. This position will report directly to the CEO.

You will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of all software solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align software development efforts with business objectives and drive innovation in our products and services.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers across multiple time zones, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Acquire the technical knowledge held by the current team
  • Lead strategic software development initiatives from design through deployment, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to deliver high-quality products and solutions aligned with company objectives and growth strategies
  • Establish and maintain software development processes with, methodologies, and documentation to ensure efficiency, consistency, and scalability across projects
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and other cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that meet customer needs
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of software systems, identifying opportunities for optimization, enhancement, and scalability
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software engineering, and incorporate them into our development processes
  • Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous learning within the software engineering team
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and insights to senior management on software development progress, challenges, and opportunities
  • Leverage AI expertise to support efficient back-end coding initiatives and innovative product enhancements

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field is optional
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development is required,in addition to 5 years in a leadership position
  • Experience developing and implementing strategies to help companies scale efficiently, optimizing processes, systems, and resources to accommodate expansion
  • Actively engage in the product development process, collaborating with teams, troubleshooting issues, and being willing to dive into the details to drive innovation and improvements
  • Bring a creative spark to develop innovative solutions, improve processes, and drive business growth
  • Possess experience in cybersecurity and a strong understanding of SOC 2 compliance, ensuring data security, risk management, and regulatory adherence
  • Experience in the healthcare technology industry is desirable, but not required
  • Must possess experience in working on a cloud-based product utilizing Microsoft .NET technologies
  • Demonstrated substantial proficiency with Microsoft .NET technologies, including .NET Core, .NET Framework, and C#
  • Familiarity with Web UI Toolkits such as Angular.JS, Angular, etc
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining cloud-based, enterprise-grade, Software as a Service (SaaS) applications
  • Experience in Azure cloud, Agile methodology, product integrations, APIs, ETLs, data ingestion, and egestion
  • Extensive experience in software development lifecycle management, from concept to delivery and maintenance
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate both onshore and offshore teams in a remote environment and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for driving innovation and excellence
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Must reside and be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
