Summary

This is a fully remote work at home opportunity in the US with no anticipated travel requirements.

Overview:

The Apigee Platform Developer is tasked with developing and managing API proxies within the Apigee API Management platform. Ideal candidates possess extensive experience with Apigee, including KVMs, caches, JavaScript callouts, and fault rules, and can effectively implement API proxies using shared flows and standard policies to interface with backend services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain API proxies in the Apigee platform.

• Configure and maintain API proxies with policies, including Java and JavaScript callouts.

• Design and implement API flows/shared flows for proxies.

• Ensure API functionality aligns with OpenAPI Specification contracts.

• Implement fault tolerance strategies using Apigee's capabilities.

• Deploy API designs using REST and JSON/XML.

• Enforce security, authentication, and authorization using enterprise patterns.

• Troubleshoot and resolve proxy issues using tracing and other diagnostic tools.
• Proactively identify and solve potential issues.
• Offer technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
• Foster a positive team and corporate culture.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with the Apigee API Management platform.
• Proficient in Java and JavaScript callout policies in Apigee.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong customer collaboration skills.
• Proficient in transformation, mediation, and security within Apigee.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEAM field preferred.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, NodeJS, and Bash.

Experience:

• 7+ years in designing and developing APIs, proxies, and security policies in Apigee.

Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position  is $109,749 to $164,623, plus incentives that  align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
