Job Overview
The Email & SMS Campaign Manager oversees the planning, execution, and optimization of email and SMS campaigns. They manage SMS marketing budget, ensure compliance, collaborate with teams to align marketing strategies with business goals, and leveraging data-driven insights for continuous improvement on KPIs. Additionally, they assist the Director of Retention and contribute to projects aimed at improving campaign effectiveness and engagement.
Responsibilities
Email & SMS Campaign Management:
Oversee all email+sms campaigns in the US SMS account and each Klaviyo account (US, EU, UK, AU, CA).
SMS Campaign Management
Oversee the entire SMS campaign process, including planning, copywriting, strategy, execution, and segmentation.
Campaign Scheduling
Schedule email & SMS campaigns, making necessary adjustments, additions, tests to optimize timing, strategy, and KPIs.
Manage & Improve on Segmentation for Email + SMS:
Ensure the most up to date segmentation definitions for the campaign period (EVG, sale campaign) for tests and KPIs. Maintain lists and segments to enable effective segmentation and personalization.
Budget Management
Manage the budget for SMS campaigns to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals.
Campaign Planning And Execution
Provide high-level direction for email and SMS campaigns in line with GTM plans and internal team strategy.
Analyze performance metrics and make adjustments, such as A/B testing and segmentation changes.
Monitor key metrics like open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and revenue per recipient to identify improvement areas
Adjust segments or campaigns as continually identified including segment definitions, segment sizes, campaign subject lines, content, and tests.
Ideate, set up, maintain, monitor and adapt to changes, optimize, and test campaigns based on performance metrics and goals.
Manage campaigns during sales periods, ensuring seamless transitions/adjustments and optimal performance.
Improve On & Set KPIs
Monitor campaign performance to improve on set campaign KPIs. Develop tests/optimizations to improve KPIs and set new KPIs as needed based on testing and performance.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Work with other departments (e.g., e-commerce, CX) to align marketing efforts with overall objectives and enhance customer experience.
Compliance Monitoring
Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CAN-SPAM, including obtaining consent, providing unsubscribe options, and maintaining accurate records.
Reporting And Vendor Management
Assist the Director of Retention with reporting, managing vendors, and handling legal requests.
Team Communication And Delegation
Provide instruction, guidance, and delegation to team members to optimize their time and the team's overall effectiveness.
Significant Projects And Initiatives Associated To This Role
Enhance SMS campaign strategy, efficiency, monitor & optimize AI campaigns, provide campaign insights, and
Manage the Email & SMS campaign process in its entirety, which includes a variety of tasks handled on a daily and monthly basis.
Train Maridel to take over campaign parts, excluding SMS scheduling.
Ideal Profile
Qualifications & Experience
Email & SMS Campaign Management: Previous experience in managing email and SMS campaigns and flows in a direct-to-consumer (D2C) environment.
E-commerce Experience: 1-2 years of experience in e-commerce to understand and execute on relevant KPIs.
Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective coordination and collaboration.
Goal-Oriented: Strong drive and goal orientation, with the ability to learn independently.
Platform Proficiency: Advanced use of email and SMS platforms for campaign management including Klaviyo & Postscript.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Notion for project management, task organization, collaboration, and documentation.
Proficiency in Slack for effective communication, collaboration, and team coordination, including channel management, file sharing, and real-time messaging.
Proficiency in GSuite for productivity, document management, and collaboration, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Familiarity with Loom for creating and sharing video content, including screen recordings, tutorials, and presentations, to enhance communication and training within teams.
Advanced knowledge and use of platforms like Sendlane, Klaviyo, Postscript, Amped, and Shopify.
Deep understanding of email and SMS marketing strategies, KPIs, and segmentation techniques.
Ability to analyze campaign performance metrics and translate them into actionable insights.
