Job description

We are seeking a Product Manager with extensive knowledge of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and it’s applicability to the Individual Market (Marketplace). The ideal candidate has experience adapting to change required by CMS’s annual Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters (NBPP) and Letter to Issuers in order to maintain compliance in the Individual Market. The Product Manager is responsible for implementing benefit packaging changes for Marketplace, participating in work groups, and assisting with presentations and media inquiries. This position requires occasional travel.

Job Responsibilities

Manage the development of the business case, business plan, product definition and specifications, implementation and life cycle management activities for new or enhanced products.
Hire, train, develop, set goals for, and evaluate permanent product development staff, if applicable; lead in the creation and direction of temporary project teams to support the design and launch of new products/services.
Monitor the marketplace and regulatory environment to stay fully informed about product trends and results in order to continually assess needs and opportunities for the organization.
Develop and implement ideas for new and enhanced products to support and conform to the organization's overall business strategy and financial goals; coordinate with other partners of the organization to select the best ideas for products/services development.

Job Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment

Experience

5 years - Experience in the health care industry

Skills\Certifications

Analytical and decision making abilities.
Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent time and project management skills
Knowledge of medical and pharmacy products
Demonstrated consumer healthcare market understanding/knowledge required
