As a data analyst mid or senior on the Claims Control Physical Damage team, you’ll develop and maintain comprehensive reports and analyses that directly impact our Salvage agenda. This agenda is a critical component of the total loss process, where the insurance company takes possession of the damaged property when repair costs exceed the break-even point and sells it to recoup funds. You’ll work closely with senior leaders on projects to get results directly related to profitability. Additionally, you’ll respond to emerging trends, tell analytical stories, and support ad hoc analysis requests.

Must-have Qualifications

  • A minimum of four years of analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of three years of analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of one year analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Successful completion of Progressive's Analyst Boot Camp and Progressive's Internal Analyst Trainee program and a minimum one year analytical work experience.
  • This position requires online pre-employment testing for external candidates.

Preferred Skills

  • Highly proficient in Tableau, SAS, and SQL skills
  • Knowledge of large data concepts, practices and terminology
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in an adaptive, team-oriented environment
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office – such as PowerPoint and Excel - with advanced skills in spreadsheet functionality including v-look-up, pivot tables, charts, graphing, and macros

Compensation

  • $65,500 - $105,600/year depending on position level and experience
  • Gainshare incentive up to 24 to 30% (depending on level) of your eligible earnings based on company performance
