Yelp has been at the forefront of iOS development for over a decade, from launching our consumer app to introducing the business owners app, and we continue to push the boundaries of what's possible on iOS. We're looking for a Remote iOS Engineer based in Mexico to join our collaborative team.

The Services org plays a vital role in connecting consumers with exceptional home and local service professionals through features like Request a Quote and Yelp Assistant. As an engineer on our team, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions that directly impact how we link people with great local businesses. In response to challenging times, our Engineering & Product teams have swiftly identified business needs, demonstrating our commitment to supporting both consumers and service providers. This commitment is exemplified by the recent launch of Yelp Assistant, a conversational AI feature designed to enhance these vital connections.

This opportunity requires you to be located in the Zona Sureste or Zona Centro time zone of Mexico. We welcome applicants from throughout Mexico. Build new features in the Yelp consumer app to connect people with great local businesses.
Scope, design, and lead iOS projects from conception to completion.
Improve and iterate on existing functionality to reliably give our users a smooth experience.
Mentor other engineers and share the skills you’ve learned.
Contribute actively to the broader iOS developer community by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Ideally 2+ years of experience with the iOS platform (Swift).
Experience with iOS testing, from breaking controller logic into unit-testable pieces to automated UI testing.
Experience building applications with intuitive and accessible user experiences.
Strong collaboration and communication skills demonstrated through effective teamwork across design, product, and engineering teams.
An eagerness to learn and embrace scalability, reliability, and performance challenges.
