About the Role
As an Engineer II, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of features or sub-modules within larger projects. This role requires strong coding proficiency, collaboration, and a mindset for continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with peers, product managers, and senior engineers to ensure seamless project delivery while honing your technical and problem-solving skills.
What you will do:
- Develop and Maintain Code: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for moderately complex features and sub-modules.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work alongside product managers, senior engineers, and other team members to deliver quality features.
- Participate in Code Reviews: Regularly contribute as both a reviewer and reviewee to maintain high standards across the codebase.
- Improve Systems: Understand and contribute to the system’s architecture by identifying bottlenecks and proposing optimizations.
- Follow Best Practices: Apply design patterns, coding principles, and industry best practices in daily tasks.
Who you are:
You bring a blend of technical expertise, curiosity, and teamwork, complemented by a strong foundation in software development.
- Programming Expertise: Proficient in at least one language (Python, Java, or JavaScript), with strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Core Concepts: Solid understanding of data structures (e.g., arrays, hash maps) and algorithms (e.g., sorting, recursion).
- Tools & Systems: Experience with Git, database systems, and basic cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools like Docker.
- Exposure to agile practices (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning).
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular) and backend frameworks (Django, Spring Boot) is a plus.
- Experience with performance optimization, such as improving load times or database query efficiency is a plus.
- Contributions to open-source or personal coding projects is preferred.
- Certifications like AWS Developer or advanced technical certifications are preferred.
