The Research and Education to support the Science of Independent Living for Inclusion and Engagement (RESILIENCE) is a National Center of Excellence Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR). The center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support the design of a policy convening at the intersection of disabilities, childcare, and housing.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Deploy design frameworks to structure and analyze qualitative data about everyday life experiences of families with children with medical complexities from diverse sources, such as family members, academics, legislators, developers, and other subject matter experts. Examples of methods used include field and user observations, self-report and photovoice methods, and open interviews.
- Identify patterns of perceptions related to barriers and drivers of change and generate actionable insights that can be used in co-design activities.
- Design diverse communication materials, such as presentations, posters, worksheets, reports, among others that support the realization of the policy convening.
- Maintain accurate documentation of the process and update workflows as necessary.
- Draft and revise academic manuscripts.

- Strong visual communication and writing skills (Required)
- Enthusiastic, responsible, able to work independently, and meticulous attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least three or more years' previous work experience providing communication and research support preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY ($23,441 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
