WHAT YOU'LL DO

As Capital Markets Manager II, you will assist and support the Bank’s Credit Administration within the CCBX BaaS (Banking as a Service) division by managing and establishing capital markets modeling and analytics. You will provide analytical expertise in capital markets and loan sales, as well as overall credit risk management. This includes developing policies, conducting modeling and analytics, underwriting, performing loan reviews, and assessing overall loan risk to minimize portfolio risks. You will collaborate with partners on pricing and analyzing whole loan sales, as well as generating disposition channels across multiple lanes such as credit funds, securitizations, and structured financing vehicles.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

  • Provide support as needed to Chief Credit Officer and CCBX CCO/Credit Administrator and other executives as needed.
  • Manage the analytics of loan flows, loan concentrations, and capital markets.  
  • Responsible for analyzing the policies, products and procedures regarding the loan sales and purchases and capital markets with the banks strategic lending partners.  
  • Maintains and monitors loan sales and purchases over the BaaS portfolio to prevent or reduce credit risk while growing the portfolio within approved lending limits. 
  • Leads and coordinates, manages, and maintains efficiencies and consistencies for banks Capital Markets, managing balance sheet asset concentrations, lead selling and buying of loans and overall loan flow offered through the banks Strategic Lending Partners.
  • Assures documentation is complying within bank and CCBX policy as well as State and Federal Regulations.
  • Provide leadership and the point of contact to the Strategic Lending Partners on arranging for selling or buying of loans.
  • Assist in preparing Board, management, and regulatory reports and analysis of the CCBX loan portfolio concentrations, sales and purchases.
  • Coordinates, manages and maintains consistencies in day-to-day Capital Markets and Credit Administration responsibilities.
  • Assures accuracy of loan sale and purchase data through and internal control processes working as a liaison with finance and operations.
  • Review credit risks through data queries to ensure accuracy of classifications and make recommendations for any changes.
  • Coordinate and execute workload priorities and delegate tasks within deadlines.
  • Ability to use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles.
  • Manages and assists with special projects such as back up loan servicer providers and lending as a service.
  • Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manages a team of individuals ensuring they are properly trained, encouraged and engaged. 
  • Manage the implementation of business process or technology changes for financial services clients in their commercial loan servicing implementations.
  • Conduct audit engagements to critically assess management and internal control processes.
  • Understand and leverage technology and end-state architecture vision to partner with technology team to drive comprehensive design decisions out of white space technical problems

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in banking credit underwriting, finance, accounting, or economics. Master’s degree or equivalent in experience/education preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Capital Markets, Loan Sales and Purchases, and general underwriting for consumer and commercial loans.
  • 5+ years managing a team.
  • Managing Balance Assets Concentrations, arranging for selling or buying of loans, establishing forward flow loan partners and oversight over the entire process.
  • Experience in Credit Risk Management is preferred such as Credit Modeling/Analytics, Policies, Procedures, Loan Audit and Review and oversight of Credit Programs.
  • Additional banking/credit experience including the following: BaaS Credit Administration or Program Manager, Credit experience with consumer and commercial, Asset Capital Markets, Enterprise Risk Management, Back-up Loan Service Provider, Lending as a Service.
  • Proficient in analytical tools such as Python, SAS, SQL, Matlab, Microsoft Office 365 programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word, etc.) and general office equipment.
  • Advanced proficiency in databases and report writing.
