CareDx is searching for a highly experienced and strategic Director of Marketing to lead our Kidney organ franchise. In this pivotal role, you will drive the belief, adoption, and pulzl-through of our lab tests and services across the transplant ecosystem. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, you will develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that meet growth targets, address challenges identified through data analysis and market insights and strengthen CareDx’s leadership in the kidney transplant space. This role will collaborate extensively with cross-functional stakeholders—such as Medical Affairs, MLR, Sales Training, Sales, Product, and Digital—to develop outstanding marketing materials, programs, and sales training. The Director of Marketing will also partner with the broader brand, digital and product teams to ensure a seamless rollout of new products, programs, and promotional strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Marketing Planning
- Conduct thorough market analyses (sales data, competitive intelligence, and KOL feedback) to identify growth opportunities and challenges.
- Develop an integrated strategic marketing plan for the kidney portfolio, aligning with overall brand objectives and addressing customer needs across transplant centers and community nephrology practices.
- Promotional Strategy & Execution
- Craft compelling messaging and promotional strategies that resonate with HCPs, care administrators, KOLs and patients to drive test adoption and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Oversee the creation and deployment of print and digital collateral, speaker decks, sales aids, and website content to ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.
- KOL Engagement & Educational Initiatives
- Plan and execute KOL advisory boards, speaker bureaus, and other peer-to-peer educational initiatives to strengthen advocacy and awareness of CareDx solutions.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs to translate clinical data into clear, differentiated marketing messages and materials.
- Protocol Adoption & Pull-Through
- Drive initiatives aimed at increasing protocol adoption, compliance, and seamless patient management—especially during the handoff from transplant centers to community nephrology.
- Partner with Sales and Clinical teams to monitor and reinforce surveillance testing protocols, ensuring patients continue to receive CareDx tests per guidelines.
- Digital & Social Media Marketing
- Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns (social media, webinars, email, etc.) in coordination with internal digital teams and external partners.
- Analyze digital metrics to optimize campaign performance and ensure alignment with broader brand strategies.
- Resource Allocation & Effectiveness
- Evaluate promotional resource utilization and measure campaign ROI to refine marketing strategies and maximize impact.
- Manage the creation of rapid-response materials (e.g., one-pagers) to address competitive launches, new clinical data, or market shifts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Agency Management
- Work closely with Sales Training to ensure field teams are well-prepared to deliver marketing messages and use promotional materials effectively.
- Partner with agency and creative teams to provide clear briefs, feedback, and guidance for seamless execution of marketing projects.
- Compliance & Budget Management
- Navigate all materials through the MLR review process, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Oversee budget planning and tracking, balancing cost effectiveness with the need for high-quality marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; BA/BS in life sciences, molecular biology, or clinical science preferred. MBA or another advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Experience: At least 8-10 years of relevant marketing experience in diagnostics, biotech, pharma, or medical device industries, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic impact. Knowledge of nephrology a plus.
- Leadership: Demonstrated success in driving product adoption and growth through innovative marketing strategies, with experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
