Purpose of the Job

The Account Executive is responsible for handling quotes and all direct communications with agencies, brokers, and carriers. Additionally, the Account Executive oversees the management of new and renewal premium finance loans along with other associated business activities. The Account Executive serves as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients, working to understand client goals and objectives and proposing tailored solutions to meet those needs. The Account Executive plays a critical role in expanding the customer base, maximizing account profitability while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provides quick and accurate responses to P1 Finance’s agency, intermediary and carrier partners.
  • Enters premium finance quotes quickly and accurately into the finance software to send to agencies. Quotes must follow company and state guidelines.
  • Provides the credit department the necessary documentation and information to make fast approval decisions on loans.
  • Communicates with Management the requested terms from agency partners to obtain approval for loan requests.
  • Answers incoming calls and field questions from the agency services line.
  • Builds strong relationships with agency, intermediary and carrier partners via phone and written communications.
  • Follows up with key contacts at agencies for retaining renewal quotes and new business quotes during the month of production.
  • Reaches out to new agency prospects for initial communication to ultimately bring them on board with P1 Finance.
  • Processes electronic payments for agents and insureds.
  • Provides backup assistance when another member of the Account Executive team is out of the office.
  • Assists with social media, email blasts and other marketing aspects as they arise.
  • Communicates effectively with team members, other departments, and Management.
  • Provides impeccable service to all customer inquiries by responding promptly and thoroughly too all requests.
  • Assists other Account Executives with various daily tasks and quote inputs.

  • Must have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Should have a good understanding of the business processes at the credit union related to premium finance
  • Must be resourceful and well organized, with strong attention to detail
  • Must have good reasoning abilities and sound judgment
  • Must possess excellent Customer service skills
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be proactive, with a sense of urgency
  • Must be able to work in a general office environment
  • Must be team oriented
  • Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required
  • Must has the ability to multi-task
  • Must have the ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be self-motivated with a drive to take initiative
  • Must have a strong sales aptitude
  • Should become knowledgeable of P1 Finance’s best practices, policies, and procedures while demonstrating a strong commitment to providing excellent service to P1 borrowers

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping required
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
  • Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds

Education and Background

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Finance, Insurance or related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience in the premium finance industry or similar Commercial Lines Property and Casualty insurance experience at an agency or intermediary required
