Accountable for driving global financial performance of AVTR specialty workflow products and solutions, including life science and analytical chemistry. The successful candidate owns and executes the development, implementation, and optimization of successful marketing plans that advance portfolio strategy and drive accelerated, profitable growth within specialty workflows. Oversees a team of workflow specialists and directs commercial sales specialist, eCommerce, digital marketing, event planning, and portfolio management teams to ensure that short and long-term growth objectives are met. 

What we’re looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences, marketing, business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)   
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in research science, scientific sales, marketing, or scientific product management 
    • Demonstrated experience in sales enablement, product launch, solution selling, and account-based marketing 
    • Global Perspective: Experience working in a global environment, with an understanding of diverse markets and cultures

  • Deep understanding of scientific research workflows, laboratory techniques, and tools commonly used by researchers and scientists.  
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to measure campaign effectiveness, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.  
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to translate technical information into compelling and accessible content for scientific audiences.  
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including commercial sales specialists and portfolio management teams.  
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving lead generation, customer acquisition, and revenue growth through targeted marketing initiatives.  
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic and evolving industry landscape, staying abreast of advancements in scientific research and technology. 

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Financial Accountability: Own the financial performance of specialty workflows, including life sciences and analytical chemistry (buy-sell model).  
  • Strategy Development & Execution: Lead the development, execution, and optimization of marketing strategies to promote specialty workflow products and solutions to researchers, laboratories, and academic institutions.  
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of engaging content such as whitepapers, case studies, eCommerce materials, and technical articles to educate and engage scientific professionals, driving product awareness and adoption.  
  • Sales Enablement: Develop data-driven customer targeting strategies, sales tools, and customer-facing materials to support commercial sales specialists in executing efficient sales programs.  
  • Market Insight & Forecasting: Cultivate a deep understanding of the market, competitive landscape, and end user needs to inform portfolio optimization, positioning, and business forecasting.  
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, segment marketing, and marketing operations teams to align marketing initiatives with broader business objectives.  
  • Sales Support & Lead Generation: Provide guidance to commercial sales specialists in leveraging marketing assets and campaigns for lead generation, customer acquisition, and increasing customer lifetime value (LTV).  
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a team of domain expert workflow specialists, fostering a culture of marketing excellence, talent development, and succession planning.
