The Associate Marketing Manager – Employer Activation Engagement represents an integral part of the Education and Technology Services marketing team. This role will work within the Employer Activation marketing team to assist in the development and execution of sales event strategies, presentation content and marketing assets for key employer partners. In addition, the role will manage the tools and processes that aid in our sales event marketing efforts and work to establish departmental best practices.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of B2B2C engagement initiatives for employers and their employees that ultimately drive lead generation through promotion of SEI’s portfolio of brands (Workforce Edge, Capella University, Strayer University, Sophia, non-degree products, and value-add content)
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop effective in-person and virtual event strategies and support models
- Conduct research to identify relevant event topic opportunities and event best practices
- Develop and maintain virtual event content calendar of relevant live and on-demand event opportunities for employers
- Develop content and presentations alongside SMEs and presenters
- Manage print-on-demand vendor for event promotional item orders and printing
- Manage continuing education vendor relationships, optimization, and reporting
- Support event success monitoring and performance reporting.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to invoicing, contracts, vendor management and others as needed.
- Anticipate issues and problem solve. Demonstrate flexibly through changing business conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact in a professional and concise manner with staff, clients and vendors.
- Ability to inform and design content for diverse platforms across a variety of topics.
- Excellent relationship-building, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong event management skills.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and organization, initiative and follow-through.
- Demonstrated ability to manage/coordinate multiple events and successfully prioritize with good judgment and in an effective and productive manner.
- Able to serve as team representative/advocate on diverse cross-functional teams.
- Experience creating, documenting, scheduling, and implementing event plans in an effective and productive manner with a drive for results.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Education:
- 2-5 years’ experience in relatable marketing work
- Bachelor’s degree required, from an accredited institution

- Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro.
