The Ice Cream business is operating in a highly attractive category, as we are part of the 1 trillion snacking and refreshment industry, growing consistently at high pace. We have strong brands equities: 5 of top 10 selling brands including Wall’s, Magnum, Ben &Jerry’s. We are investing to unlock the full growth potential of Ice Cream as a standalone entity, once we separate from Unilever, which is planned to happen by November 2025.

Are you a lawyer (8-10 years’ experience) passionate about innovation, digital, brands, media and marketing, in a constant evolving world, and would like to be part of a multi-cultural global legal team, for the leading ice cream business in the world? Then this role is tailored for you.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
The Media & Marketing Legal Counsel will have a rich and engaging role, independently business partnering the Marketing team (including, but not limited to CMI, R&D) and will be responsible for:
Provide legal advice and support to the marketing and advertising teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Advising on new product development projects, including the legality of and support for claims, product positioning, input into preparation of communication materials.
Advise on issues related to digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce.
Ensure the company’s products comply with local, regional, and international laws and regulations.
Negotiating and drafting agreements, including Global Ad Production agreements, Global Mkt Agencies agreements, Licenses & Partnerships.
Advising the business on freedom to operate, infringement claims, offensive and defensive legal marketing strategies across civil and criminal enforcement, including customs, offline and online anti-counterfeiting strategies, brand protection, diversion and parallel trade.
Creating, developing and delivering relevant policies and templates, standards and training material to harmonize procedures and educating and training employees and stakeholders on Media, Digital Commerce, Retailer Media and Data Partnerships, Ad Tech/Programmatic Advertisement, AI and Gen AI, Influencer Marketing, Web 3 and Metaverse, Global Ad Production, Global Agencies, Licenses & Partnerships and Legal Marketing & Advertising legal matters.
Develop and deliver training programs on legal and compliance topics to employees.
