Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with a strong background in revenue accounting to join our growing finance team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606), and the preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of revenue and month end close processes, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous process improvement. An ideal candidate will have a desire to own the revenue function.

What You’ll Do

Lead and standardize the revenue accounting process which includes customer onboarding, relationship management, contract review, invoice preparation, revenue recognition, supporting documentation and revenue related reporting.
Work cross functionally with the growth, sales and other teams to streamline billing, collection and revenue processes.
Prepare revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606.
Own preparation of the month-end close activities including, but not limited to, revenue recognition, commissions, benefits, expenses, accruals, cash and internal use software.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Document accounting conclusions in audit memos.
Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Assist in audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency to proactively shorten close timelines.

What You Bring

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years focused on revenue accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
Familiarity with revenue automation tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
